Listen to the silent wisdom of the soul

Namaste 🙏

My dearest friends,

I am so grateful to share this space with you, a place where our hearts can connect and our spirits can grow. Today, I want to talk about a concept that is at the very core of my spiritual practice and my understanding of the divine: the light within. It is a truth so simple, yet so profound, that it has the power to transform our lives entirely.

For centuries, we have been taught to seek God, to seek truth, to seek salvation in places and forms outside of ourselves. We build magnificent temples, we bow before sacred images, we journey to holy sites—and all of these are beautiful and valid expressions of our devotion. However, the deepest truth of all is that the divine is not confined to a distant heaven or a particular sacred text. The Divine is a part of our very essence.

A light shining brightly inside of you

The teachings of Hinduism, and many other spiritual traditions, remind us of this again and again. They tell us that you are not just a body, not just a mind, but a soul—an eternal spark of consciousness. This is the Ātman, the individual self, which is one with Brahman, the universal consciousness. The light you are searching for is already shining brightly inside of you.

So, how do we connect with this inner light? It’s not about finding something new, but about removing the layers that obscure what is already there. The stresses of daily life, the attachments to our ego, the endless cycle of desires and fears—these are like dust on a mirror, dulling the reflection of our true selves. Our spiritual practices are simply the tools we use to clean that mirror.

Through meditation, we learn to quiet the constant chatter of the mind and listen to the silent wisdom of the soul. Through yoga, we unify the body and mind, creating a vessel that is strong and pure enough to hold the light. Through Bhakti, or devotion, we offer our love and surrender our ego, allowing the divine to shine through us.

This is the beautiful paradox: the journey to the divine is not a journey outward, but a journey inward. When we truly recognize that the light of God is within us, our entire perspective shifts. We begin to see that same light in every other person we meet. The concept of “other” begins to dissolve, and we see our shared humanity, our shared divinity. This understanding naturally leads to compassion, kindness, and selfless service, for how can we harm another when we see the divine in their eyes?

My friends, take a moment today to be still. Close your eyes and breathe deeply. Imagine a small, radiant flame in your heart. This is your light. This is your connection to the divine. This is the eternal truth of who you are. Nourish it, protect it, and let it shine so brightly that it becomes a beacon for all those around you.

May your inner light guide you always.

With all my love and blessings,
